October 2014-Pumpkin carving, halloween etc

Helena has been a bit trying lately... hoping there is a good reason other than her own depravity. ... like teething or something..  but anyways--she seems to just want her Daddy more than anyone else so thats who often gets to deal with her!  Good thing she's pretty cute nowadays, makes the fits a bit easier to handle..

pumpkin carving time--Brian says he was hindered in his choices since Savannah insisted on a "happy" face... apparently less choices in this genre versus scary face pumpkins..  

FINALLY---Savannah really got into digging the guts out--and worked pretty hard to get them out this year!

Halloween--we had just gotten back from a quick trip to Fort Worth area--took the kids to their first hotel with a pool and to Abilene Zoo again--  all 5 of us in one room.  surprisingly went really well.  the drive home was another story--- but we are back safe and sound, with a hotel stay under our belts. 

anyways I digress, we got home in time for all to get dressed up in their finery for trunk or treat again this year.
